Google is a great resource when it comes to marketing. But, it can also be the biggest pain in the ass! (excuse the language). For those of us who have had some of our accounts “Slapped” by Google, we know the pain of having great lead flow suddenly (and inexplicably) cut off.
To maximize Google, you really have to know what you are doing. There’s specific requirements demanded of your opt-in page and keyword research and optimization is imperative.
Put a plan in action, and you can get result like these (actual snapshot from my Google Adwords account)
Seriously, that’s 2,340 clicks to my ad in 18 days….NICE! And the leads were coming in at about 1.25 a piece. So, for .21 cents a click, I’m getting tons of exposure and lots of opt-ins.
It’s just a matter of optimization and this is all through the Google Content Network (now called the Display Network…another stupid, unexplainable, unnecessary change by Google to confuse us marketers).
